The Chicago Bulls, already ravaged by a COVID outbreak, are being asked to continue playing. And now they’re down TWO MORE PLAYERS.
Sure, Alex Caruso back is great, but this is just absurd:
Ayo Dosunmu and Stanley Johnson have landed in league’s health protocols.
Alex Caruso is available.

I can’t even think straight – this ain’t my regular beat anyway – but the Bulls are now down SEVEN F***ING PLAYERS in the health and safety protocols (DeMar DeRozan, Javonte Green, Derrick Jones Jr., Coby White, Matt Thomas, and now Dosunmu and Johnson). You’ll note that Johnson was only recently just signed as a hardship exemption BECAUSE OF THIS VERY OUTBREAK. I mean, the Bulls have signed TWO players under the hardship exemption (Johnson and Alfonzo McKinnie), and now they’ve lost TWO MORE players. Still, they have to keep playing. Completely fair and responsible and smart and cool and great.
The Bulls will try to weather this and beat the Heat tonight, but obviously the longer-term implications here are maddening in the extreme. For a team that is 100% vaccinated, and is in the midst of one of the best starts in years, I can’t think of a more frustrating turn of events. More on all of this soon.
