*Pretends to be shocked*
Marko Simonovic has reportedly become the 17th Bulls player to enter the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols this season. He joined Ersan Ilyasova, who was placed in protocols on Tuesday night.
Bulls say Marko Simonovic has entered health and safety protocols

If I’m being honest with you, I thought Simonovic had already experienced his own stint in quarantine, but I guess that just goes to show how hard all of this is to keep track of.
I believe this officially means the Bulls have just ONE member of the 15-man roster not to enter protocols this season: Alex Caruso. If we expand things to include the team’s two-way contracts, then Tyler Cook joins the prestigious club.
While it’s always unfortunate to see another group have to step away from the team, the absence of Ilyasova and Simonovic doesn’t change much for the day-to-day operations. Even in the wake of a number of absences this month, Simonovic failed to receive anything but garbage time minutes. He has appeared in only four total games this season, clocking under six minutes in each contest. As for Ilyasova, he has yet to step onto the hardwood under his 10-day contract, and this stint in protocols could very well put an end to his Bulls tenure
