Confidence is key, and Zach LaVine has plenty of it.
The All-Star will look to increase the Chicago Bulls’ Eastern Conference lead against the Brooklyn Nets at the United Center on Wednesday night. LaVine already has two wins over the superstar-packed roster this season, scoring a combined 55 points on 51 percent shooting from the field in those contests. Each performance helped solidify this revamped Bulls team as one of the NBA’s top squads — a reputation LaVine doesn’t plan on losing any time soon.
In a recent round of questioning with the NBA’s social media team, LaVine was asked one simple question: Who are the Chicago Bulls?
He kept his answer short and sweet: “Somebody who you better watch out for because we’re coming to win every game.”
Pardon me as I print out that quote, liquify it, and inject every last ounce into my veins. The NBA’s 7th-leading scorer uttered the words with conviction as he looked straight into the center of the camera. Sure, a lot of confident players might say something similar, but it’s the fact LaVine has backed up those words all season long to help propel the organization into its best position in nearly a decade.
In the rest of the video, LaVine hands out a number of superlatives, including best drip, most likely to hit a game-winner (DeMar, duh), and best layup package (him, duh). It may not be too long, but it’s a fun look at LaVine’s personality and how he views his teammates.
Give it a watch below:
"Who are the @chicagobulls? Somebody that you better watch out for 'cause we're coming to win every game."
