What to Watch For …
• The Bulls have won two of the three meetings thus far with the Pacers, with the Bulls winning the most recent matchup on New Year’s Eve when DeMar DeRozan called the game. Chicago will go for the season series tonight in Indiana, but they’ll be doing it without Zach LaVine, who will miss tonight’s game with lower back spasms. DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points in their NYE thriller in Indiana, and Nikola Vučević logged 16 rebounds. Caris LeVert led the Pacers with 27 points in the losing effort.
• The Bulls catch a break tonight with most of the Pacers’ size at the basket missing this game due to injury or COVID protocols. At full strength, Indiana is the third-best offensive rebounding team in the NBA, and the Bulls come into town on the heels of a dismal performance in that department, allowing Toronto 22 offensive rebounds.
• Nikola Vučević notched his 28th double-double of the season vs. Toronto (2/3) with 30 points and 18 rebounds. Vučević has been on a roll of late, recording double-doubles (points/rebounds) in nine of his last 10 games.
• Could help be on the way?
