Not once … not twice …
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić and Chicago Bulls guard/forward DeMar DeRozan, have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 17 of the 2021-22 season (Feb. 7 – 13). pic.twitter.com/Ip9EDsJSqW

The Chicago Bulls All-Star starter has averaged 36.5 points with 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists over the previous four games. He has shot a wildly efficient 59.8 percent from the field while also averaging 10.3 free-throw attempts per game. This week stretched him to a streak of six-straight games with 30+ points, which is a new career record.
Chicago has needed every ounce of DeRozan’s greatness in recent weeks due to the Bulls’ never-ending injury trouble. He’s been the catalyst for the team’s recent three-game win streak, keeping his team just 1.0-game back of the Eastern Conference’s top spot with two games to go until the All-Star break.
DeRozan will be back in action tonight when the Bulls take on his former team, the San Antonio Spurs, at the United Center.
