Event Info and Format
Rising Stars Event – 8:00 p.m. CT on TNT
A group of 12 rookies, 12 sophomores, and four G-League Ignite team members were selected to form the player pool for tonight’s event. Four NBA legends were then selected to serve as head coach, including Rick Barry, Gary Payton, James Worthy, and Isiah Thomas. Those four coaches drafted teams of seven players that will go on to compete in a mini-tournament. Team A will play Team B in Game 1 before Team C plays Team D in game two. The winner of both games will proceed to matchup in the championship.
All three games will also be played to a specific score. While the first two matchups will go until a team reaches 50 points, the championship round will be played to a target score of 25 points.
