It’s a good news-bad news scenario for the Chicago Bulls tonight, as Billy Donovan announced that Alex Caruso would make his highly-anticipated return against the Cleveland Cavaliers … but Zach LaVine would sit out.
Alex Caruso will play tonight against the Cavs, per Billy Donovan. Zach LaVine (knee) is out

Alex Caruso will be limited to 24-30 minutes tonight in his first game in seven weeks.
24-30 minute restriction for Caruso. But Donovan said that has more to do with him not having played in 7 weeks than the wrist https://t.co/hvSO07QueO

As for Zach LaVine, Donovan said he is experiencing “discomfort” in his injured left knee, which isn’t necessarily new information. We’ve known for quite some time the Bulls would have to monitor LaVine’s knee for the remainder of the season. However, the fact he has to take an additional night off after two full days off raises at least some level of concern. So let’s hope this decision is just out of an abundance of caution with the playoff creeping closer and closer.
Billy Donovan characterizes Zach LaVine's left knee ailment as "discomfort."
Donovan didn't seem to raise his level of concern that LaVine is sitting out after 2 off days.
He also doesn't view this as regression as much as monitoring a workload.
