The Chicago Bulls’ leading scorer may not be available for Thursday’s game in New Orleans.
According to the latest official injury report, DeRozan is “questionable” with a left adductor strain. When exactly he suffered the injury is unclear, but it wouldn’t be particularly surprising to hear it played a role in his poor performance on Tuesday night. one game after shooting 10-14 from the field to help lead the Bulls over the Raptors, DeRozan walked off the floor in Milwaukee with a 10-23 performance.
The good news is a questionable designation doesn’t suggest the injury is anything serious. Perhaps the Bulls give him the night off tomorrow, but I don’t believe we have reason to believe he misses extended time.
One other piece of good news is that Zach LaVine has been upgraded on the injury report ahead of tomorrow’s contest. The All-Star came into the back-end of a back-to-back as questionable, but the Bulls now list him as probable. It’s good to see him get through two games in 48 hours relatively unscathed.
