Billy Donovan finally provided reporters with an update on starting point guard Lonzo Ball.
The last we heard, Ball would have to take a brief 10-day break from his rehab process due to the fact that his surgically repaired knee was not responding well. Now, with that break officially over, Ball is set to restart his ramp-up process.
Lonzo Ball (knee) will restart his ramp-up process, Billy Donovan says.

Donovan emphasized this will be a gradual process. Ball won't go from "0 to 60." https://t.co/5uH3ZJqvHa

To be clear, no potential return timetable has been provided, and Donovan did stress this would be a gradual process. Ball has clearly taken much longer than expected to work his way back, so the last thing the Bulls will want to do is risk pushing him too hard and thus extend this process even further.
All we can do now is wait and see how Ball responds to rehab this time around. I find it really hard to imagine he is on the floor by the end of the regular season, but if the Bulls clinch a first-round series, perhaps we can hold out hope Ball is ready by then.
I'd add to what Rob says below: Donovan acknowledged the team is running out of time. Asked if Bulls would be comfortable using Ball in playoffs without regular-season action, Donovan said that convo hasn't happened yet but player's long-term health and safety always comes 1st. https://t.co/mYaHI0sbNy
