The Chicago Bulls will be without their best defensive player for the remainder of Game 4 due to a facial injury.
Caruso went down late in the 2nd quarter after catching an elbow from Jevon Carter. While he was able to get up under his own power, he was noticeably bleeding from his nose and received treatment. Ayo Dosunmu then started the second half in place of the veteran, which the Bulls shortly followed with news that Caruso would not return.

The injury was clearly significant enough to sit him out the remainder of a huge playoff game, but we’ll have to wait until after the game to get a better word on his availability for later this week.
UPDATE
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Caruso left the game to be evaluated for a possible concussion. If he did suffer one, it’s hard to imagine he will be ready to go by Wednesday’s Game 5, but I guess it all depends on the severity.
