No Zach LaVine. No Alex Caruso. No chance … according to Las Vegas.
We knew that with an undermanned roster after two back-to-back blowout losses the odds would land in the Milwaukee Bucks’ favor. However, I’m not sure even I expected the spread to look this glum ahead of Game 5. Both the DraftKings Illinois Sportsbook and FanDuel Illinois Sportsbook list Milwaukee as -12 favorites, while putting their money line at a staggering -900.
The PointsBet Illinois Sportsbook somehow has even less faith in the Bulls with Milwaukee listed as a -1000 money line favorite and the spread set at a stark -12.5.
Considering the circumstances, it’s hard to pick a fight with any of these numbers, but it still underscores just how rough of an ending this could be to a once thrilling season from the Chicago Bulls. I guess the only positive is there should be no lack of bulletin board material ahead of this battle.
No one believes this Bulls team can put up a fight, but we’ve seen that outside perception motivate this group plenty of times before. So go prove the (many) doubters wrong, DeMar and Co.!
