LOL: Patrick Beverley Went on ESPN and Put Everyone on Blast

Chicago Bulls

ESPN invited Minnesota Timberwolves guard and Chicago native Patrick Beverley onto their airways Monday morning. And what came next was some excellent television.

The vocal veteran didn’t hold back while answering a slew of questions, especially when speaking about the reigning Western Conference champs. Beverley ripped into a Phoenix Suns team that saw their season come to a crashing end with a 123-90 Game 7 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night.

“Ain’t nobody is afraid of anyone over there in Phoenix, man,” Beverley said. “Everyone in the league knows that. Y’all don’t know that because y’all aren’t in the locker room. No one is afraid of Phoenix. We wanted them!”

His disdain for Suns’ point guard was particularly evident, as Beverley also told commentator Stephen A. Smith that Chris Paul “can’t guard” anybody and compared him to a workout cone.

For this one, just go ahead and watch the interaction:

And, you guessed it, Beverley’s attack at the Hall of Fame point guard didn’t stop there.

He explained that his night-time routine the day before matching up with Paul involves nothing more than a steak and wine, whereas the night before playing Stephen Curry, he makes sure to hit the hay early.

But, don’t worry, Paul wasn’t the only one to face Beverley’s wrath! When Smith mentioned Grayson Allen at one point during the broadcast, Beverley quickly followed up with a class “WHO!?”

Check it out:

That’s a Chicagoan if I’ve ever seen one!

When I saw Beverley was set to spend the day on ESPN, I expected some unfiltered commentary, but this level of trolling was top-notch!
