The Chicago Bulls are taking their talents international!
On Tuesday morning, the organization officially announced that they will return to Paris for a matchup against the rival Detroit Pistons. Unlike when the Bulls last traveled to France in 1997, this battle will be a regular-season contest that takes place on January 19, 2023.

When the game tips off at Accor Arena early next year, it will mark the first NBA contest in Europe since 2020 and the 12th game ever (the first of which came in 1991).
“It is a great honor to bring Chicago Bulls basketball back to Paris for The NBA Paris Game 2023 – an event that illustrates the league’s commitment to amplifying the national and global impact of basketball. Having played several games in Paris during my career, I know how special this will be for our players, our organization, and our international fanbase. We look forward to representing Chicago overseas and are grateful for the opportunity to do so,” Karnisovas said in a press release.
With the Chicago Bulls tallying their most wins since the 2014-15 campaign – and returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2016-17 – now arguably feels like the perfect time for the franchise to return under the international spotlight. Karnisovas and Co. made it a goal to regrow and reestablish the Bulls’ brand, and there is no doubt this helps do just that.
I can’t wait to watch this team in action … and I can’t wait to convince my BN bosses to send me to Paris!
It’s a work expense!
