Well how about that! The Chicago Bulls may want to bring in the NBL Rookie of the Year, Bul Kuol, for a look during Summer League action.
Bul and the Bulls 🐂👀
According to @Liam_Santa on #NBLOvertime, @CairnsTaipans ROY winner Bul Kuol is being eyed by Chicago for a spot on their NBA Summer League roster.https://t.co/sykNBcwVru

His name is Bul! It’s a no brainer.
In the clip that can be found in the article above, Santamaria says that there is “Summer League buzz bubbling right now about Bul Kuol” and that it’s his understanding that “the Chicago Bulls have come knocking on the Bul Kuol door, just asking the question about Summer League.”
Santamaria also points out that there would be some scheduling issues to work through with Kuol planning on playing for South Sudan “at some (African) qualifiers coming up.”
Kuol, 25, broke the NBL record for most three-pointers made by a rookie this season and shot 35 percent from three-point range while averaging a team-high 18.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in 22 minutes per game playing for the Knox Raiders in NBL1 South. Kuol played the 2021 season with Detroit Mercy and was named to the Horizon League Third Team after averaging 15.6 points per contest and shot 41 percent from deep. Even if Kuol ends up making his way to the United States to play with the Bulls Summer League team, he’ll be a long shot to make the Bulls’ regular-season roster.
You can take a look at some Kuol highlights here:
We didn’t need an award to know that we had the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR on our hands, but we’ll take it 😉
An amazing 71 votes for Bul Kuol! pic.twitter.com/ciaqIwEzVp
