Fake Klay Thompson Snuck Into the Chase Center and Got Banned for Life by the Warriors

Chicago Bulls

Before Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday night in San Francisco, Klay Thompson went to get some shots up… or so the Chase Center security thought.

Fake Klay Thompson – also known as, internet personality Big Daws or Dawson Gurley – used his uncanny resemblance to the Warriors superstar to sneak onto the court earlier this week. He walked right through security workers and into the back concourse, eventually making his way to the hardwood where he put up shots.

I know it sounds hard to believe, but he documented the whole experience on his YouTube channel.

A security worker eventually asked him and his cameraman to show NBA credentials, which led to the ruse immediately coming to an end. I got to say, though, I was shocked by how chill the staff was about the whole encounter.

The Warriors’ brass, on the other hand, had a different reaction …

Fake Klay went on to Tweet that he completely understand the Warriors’ decision, but the lifetime ban hasn’t made him regret the mission:

Anyway, for a complete look at how he pulled it off (it was way too easy), make sure to check out his full video below:
