With the 2022 NBA Draft days away, and free agency rumors heating up by the hour, it’s easy to forget the other major event that begins in only a handful of weeks.
The 2022 Summer League is officially set to tip off in Las Vegas on July 7. The event will run through the 17th and feature 75 total games that will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. All 30 NBA teams will play at least four games before the two teams with the best record move to the Championship Game. The other remaining teams will then play a 5th contest on one of the final two days.
The Chicago Bulls’ summer league team will take the floor for the first time on July 8 against the Dallas Mavericks. They will then play ever other day with the game broadcasted on either ESPN2 or NBA TV.
Here’s a full look at the schedule:
As for who we can expect to appear on the team’s Summer League roster, we’ll just have to wait and see. Ayo Dosunmu did tell reporters at his end-of-season press conference that he would like to suit up, but whether or not he will get the greenlight from the front office remains to be seen. Of course, if the Bulls end up selecting a player with the No. 18 pick on June 23rd, he will also be a major reason for fans to tune in.
