Pre-Gamin’: 2022 NBA Draft – Bulls Pick, Rumors, Live Tracker, Broadcast Info

Chicago Bulls

With the NBA Finals officially wrapped up and another Larry O’Brien Trophy sitting in the Warriors’ lap, it’s time to turn the page to the 2022-23 season. Tonight marks the first big step in building for next year’s campaign, and making the most of this opportunity feels particularly important for the Chicago Bulls.

Year two under Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley was far better than almost anyone could have expected. The organization’s aggressive win-now mentality helped thrust the franchise into a top-6 seed and its first playoff appearance since the 2017 season. The Bulls’ 46 wins also marked their most since Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah were still in town back in 2015.

With that said, this progress will mean nothing if the Bulls can’t find a way to build on it. A swift first-round exit to the Milwaukee Bucks demonstrated just how far this current roster remains from competing at a championship level. They have several holes left to plug, and the process of doing just that starts tonight.

Who Will be the Pick?

The Chicago Bulls hold the No. 18 pick in tonight’s draft. A number of highly-ranked prospects are projected to still be on the board in the late-teens, including names like Ohio Stats’ E.J. Liddell, Santa Clara’s Jalen Williams, and LSU’s Tari Eason.

We talked way more about the players who could be there when the Bulls are on the clock over the past couple of weeks, so I encourage you to check out the draft profiles below:

What Are the Rumors?

While the safest bet is to expect the Chicago Bulls to keep their No. 18 pick, one of the biggest rumors over the past couple of weeks has been that they might move that selection alongside Coby White. Whether the goal would be to add a veteran asset or move up in the draft to secure a player is unclear, but the rumblings have been consistent.
