With the best record since the 2014-15 season in the books, the Bulls have announced several promotions to their basketball operations department.
The biggest news is that Pat Connelly – brother of Minnesota’s President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly – has been promoted to an Assistant GM position. Connelly had previously held the role of Vice President of Player Personnel, which he manned every since joining Arturas Karnisovas from Denver back in 2020.
The other updates appear to be more about title changes than anything. And you can take a look at the folks impacted below:
The only new addition to the basketball operations department appears to be Shaquin Albrow. According to NBC Sports Chicago’s K.C. Johnson, Albrow takes the place of long-time Bull Shaun Kickombottom.
A brief Google search has led me to believe that Albrow previously held numerous positions inside the Phoenix Suns organization. Most recently, according to his LinkedIn profile, Albrow was a Player Development and Engagement Manager.
Again, I know none of this may seem like a particularly big deal, but I think it’s a good reminder that this front office is still finding its groove. Continuing to establish the right roles behind the scenes is just as crucial to the organization’s development. Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley have been given the green light to make this franchise their own, and these moves remain part of that process.
Now, can they somehow demote ownership?
