I think Goran Dragic wants everyone to know he has plenty of good basketball left in the tank.
The Chicago Bulls new guard is currently overseas preparing for Eurobasket 2022. Recently committing to suit up for his home country, Dragic took the floor earlier today for a pre-tournament exhibition matchup against Turkey. Not only did the 36-year-old drop 28 points to help lead his team to an overtime win (h/t Eurohoops), but he made the most important basket of the night.
With 18.2 seconds left in overtime and down 103-101, Dragic shook his defender by the elbow and backtracked to the 3-point line. I think you can guess what happened next.
Feast your eyes:
Gosh darn it, Goran, you got me all hyped up!
I still have no idea whether or not Dragic will carve out a consistent rotational role on a fully healthy Bulls team. After all, we have to remember he only suited up for 21 games of NBA action last season. But it sure looks like he’s off to a strong start overseas, and I’m excited to see how well he performs when Eurobasket tips off in a few short weeks!
