The Chicago Bulls announced on Saturday that they have officially waived Javon Freeman-Liberty.
The undrafted free agent from DePaul played Summer League with the team before earning an invite to training camp. He failed to appear in the team’s first preseason game against the Pelicans before clocking 6 minutes against the Nuggets on Sunday night, where he scored a swift 8 points behind two 3-pointers.
Considering the Bulls’ deep guard rotations, it’s not too surprising that Freeman-Liberty failed to secure the roster’s second two-way spot. The question now is whether or not the organization will ink him to a contract with the Windy City Bulls, which they should have first dibs on due to his training camp contract.
