What to Watch For …

  • Expectations are fairly high tonight after the Bulls pulled out an impressive underdog victory over the Celtics on Monday night, but the Pacers always play the Bulls hard and Tyrese Haliburton is off to a red-hot start averaging 25.7 points, 9.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and a pair of steals per contest.
  • Lottery pick Bennedict Mathurin also looks like the scorer the Pacers hoped he would be, as he’s started the season averaging 24.0 points on 52.1 percent shooting from the field. The central division just keeps getting better.
  • Three-point shooting has been an issue for the Bulls this season (and beyond) but they looked better against Boston, and they’ll have a prime opportunity to have an even better performance from the perimeter tonight. The Pacers 118 DEF RTG is in the bottom five in the NBA, so scoring shouldn’t be an issue for the Bulls tonight. The Pacers also own a league-worst 40.1 percent opponent percent of points from three-pointers (according to Team Rankings).
