DeMar DeRozan continues to make history.
The Chicago Bulls’ All-Star became the 50th player in NBA history to score 20,000 career points. He’s only the 7th rostered NBA player to reach that iconic mark, joining Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James.
The historic bucket came – fittingly – in the 1st quarter of Friday night’s game against DeRozan’s former team, the San Antonio Spurs.
While DeRozan may not have scored the bulk of these points in a Bulls uniform, it’s still pretty darn cool to see him celebrate this moment in Chicago. After all, it was here where the 3x All-NBA Team member reclaimed his status as one of the league’s truly elite scorers, and it’s here where his contributions will never be forgotten.
Congrats to DeMar! Let’s keep the buckets coming!
