One night after dropping a game to the San Antonio Spurs, the Chicago Bulls will be without two rotation players.
While Zach LaVine will return to the starting lineup, both Ayo Dosunmu and Andre Drummond will reportedly sit out due to injury.
Dosunmu initially came into the game with a “probable” designation after suffering a
thoracic contusion” against the Spurs. Meanwhile, Drummond was listed as “questionable” with a left shoulder strain.
The absence of both undoubtedly hinders the team’s chances of bouncing back after a poor loss to the Spurs. LaVine will provide a needed boost, but both Dosunmu and Drummond have played extremely valuable roles to start the season on both ends.
Drummond, in particular, is coming off a big-time 17-point, 14-rebound performance in just 23 minutes of action. He’s helped give Chicago one of the best second units in the league to start this season, and making up for his physicality and rebounding prowess will not be easy.
