The Philadelphia 76ers’ drafts will be a little bit lighter the next two years after the NBA stripped them of their second-round picks for the 2023 and 2024 seasons for engaging in early free-agency discussions, according to Shams Charania.
According to The Atheltic’s Rich Hoffman, the NBA’s investigation concluded that the 76ers “engaged in free agency discussions prior to the date that such permissions were permitted” in regard to negotiations with Danuel House and P.J. Tucker.
Hoffman shared a statement from the Sixers:
“The Philadelphia 76ers fully cooperated with the NBA’s investigation and acknowledge the league’s ruling. We’re moving forward, focused on the season ahead.”
