Less than a week after the San Antonio Spurs waived Josh Primo, he and the organization are facing legal action.
The team’s former psychologist has filed a lawsuit against both parties due to multiple alleged instances of Primo exposing himself. The filing states that Primo exposed himself nine times and also alleges that the franchise ignored the psychologist’s numerous reports about the inappropriate behavior, per Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News.
The first incident reportedly occurred back in December of 2021 and was eventually reported to management in January. ESPN included much more details about the specific lawsuit, which you can read about here.
Primo’s attorney went on to respond to the allegations, claiming that Primo is being “victimized” and the psychologist is pursuing this route for her “own financial benefit.” They also shared in a statement that Primo “never intentionally exposed himself” and that he wasn’t informed by her of the issue.
Primo has since cleared waivers after his release from the Spurs and remains a free agent.
