The Bulls New City Edition Look Is HERE!

Chicago Bulls

On Thursday morning, the Chicago Bulls finally unveiled their 2022-23 City Edition uniforms (yes, yes, snapshots of both the jersey and shorts had previously leaked online, but we now have a much closer look at what the team will sport this season and why). Not to mention, we also now know the design is based on Chicago’s Municipal Y, which has helped symbolize the three branches of the Chicago river since 1917.

A closer look shows a Y pattern on the white base, while the red boarding is supposed to represent the rusted color of the many bridges that hang over the Chicago River.

As with most City Edition uniforms as of late, these have already started to grow on me. While I don’t love them nearly as much as last year’s concept, which included the iconic Chicago script, I do think these help tell a pretty unique story.

They also already look a little bit better than I expected on the players, and I think the coloring will really pop when they take the floor. You can see a lot more photos of the players wearing them here.

Anyway, the Bulls will debut the new uniform against the Orlando Magic on Nov. 18. They will go on to wear them five more times on Dec. 10, Jan. 13, Feb. 24, March 3, and April 9.
