The Chicago Bulls may have just had their highlight of the season.
In the middle of a much-needed run during the 3rd quarter, Alex Caruso poked away the ball before it ended up in DeMar DeRozan’s hands. The Bulls’ forward then chucked it ahead to a sprinting Caruso, who gathered it with Mitchell Robinson right on his tail. Instead of going for the contested layup, the Bulls’ savvy veteran threw it off the glass for a trailing Zach LaVine.
To no surprise, the Bulls’ max player left his feet for the emphatic jam.
The Bulls used the next few minutes to officially erase the Knicks’ 14-point advantage, even briefly taking the lead with a big Nikola Vucevic dunk. Since then, though, it’s been a back-and-forth affair, so let’s hope the Bulls have a couple more of these momentum-shifting plays in their back pocket.
