According to the NBA’s latest official injury report, Alex Caruso and Javonte Green will enter tonight’s game against Milwaukee as “questionable.”
Green has missed the team’s last five games due to soreness in his right knee. The versatile role player is undoubtedly one of the Bulls’ better defenders, and he made quite the impact when the Bulls and Bucks first met back on Nov. 23. Green scored 11 points on a 4-5 performance from the field and recorded 2 blocks with 1 steal. There is no question that having his athleticism and defensive switchability back on the floor tonight could be pivotal to keeping things close.
Of course, we can also say the same exact thing about Alex Caruso. The Bulls’ best defender, he finished with a +14 on the night despite scoring 0 points in 27 minutes of action. He was the voice of reason on both ends of the floor, and we all know how much better this team tends to play when is in the lineup.
Caruso is likely facing a steeper uphill battle to get on the court tonight. The vet is dealing with both a concussion and shoulder sprain after taking a hard hit against the Hawks, and he’s only been able to participate in a “limited” fashion behind the scenes.
Derrick Jones Jr. remains “doubtful” with an ankle sprain.
We’ll keep you updated if any of these players are upgraded ahead of game time today.
