The first All-Star voting release didn’t feature Zach LaVine in the top 10 of guards … and I think he may have taken offense.
The Chicago Bulls’ max player looked like exactly that tonight. In a game where Joel Embiid was off the floor, LaVine made sure the Bulls took full advantage. He scored 41 points on an absurd 14-19 shooting display from the field. Oh, and this happened to include an 11-13 performance from downtown.
Yes, you read that right. Zachary LaVine knocked down 11 3-pointers to pace the Bulls toward a 126-112 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. This marked the second-most 3s made in franchise history, paling in comparison to the 13 3-pointers made on Nov. 23, 2019, by … Zachary Freakin’ LaVine.
Seriously, what a performance, especially when we consider all the recent drama that has surrounded this team in the rumor mill. He reminded everyone tonight how special he can be and how important he is to this team’s future.
Great stuff from a great player.
