What to Watch For …
While Zach LaVine will have a major opportunity to continue his electric play tonight against this depleted Wizards team, my eyes will be more on Nikola Vucevic. With both Prozingis and Gafford stuck in street clothes there is no reason that Vucevic shouldn’t be able to dominate the paint tonight. The Bulls should do everything they can to play through the inside tonight, allowing Vucevic to be one of the primary facilitators.
Someone guard Kyle Kuzma. The former-Laker has played extremely well against Chicago in each of the past two matchups, and there is no question he’ll carry even more of the offensive workload tonight. Ensuring that he doesn’t get streaky from downtown is a must, as his four 3s from long range were a big reason why the Wizards pulled off the victory back in October.
The Wizards are top-11 in AST/TOV ratio. In other words, they’re decently unselfish and don’t shoot themselves in the foot with silly TOVs too often. Without some of their key players tonight, though, perhaps that’ll change.
