The Chicago Bulls will have a representative at the 2023 All-Star Weekend!
DeMar DeRozan has officially been named an All-Star reserve, making the sixth time in his career that he has cracked the roster. While the Bulls have underachieved as a whole this season, DeRozan continues to perform like one of the top shot-makers in the league. He’s currently averaging 26.3 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.9 rebounds to go along with a 51.1 percent shooting performance from the field.
DeRozan has scored the 11th-most points in the league and has turned the ball over the fewest of the top-11 scorers. He also remains a top performer in crunch time, having scored the 5th-most points in the 4th quarter behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and the 2nd-most points in clutch situations behind on De’Aaron Fox.
At the end of the day, I know this season has stung in more ways than one, but DeRozan deserves this. He’s continued to prove that he belongs among the league’s best ever since he arrived in Chicago, and it has been a pleasure to watch. Congratulations, DeMar!
