Chicago Bulls

The Hornets scored easily on the first two possessions and I started to have flashbacks.

The Bulls lost by 15 points to this 15-win team just one week earlier, and they looked prime to do it again. But Ayo Dosunmu said otherwise.

Chicago’s second-year guard scored 10 of the team’s first 17 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting. He helped gain the Bulls complete control of the game, which they (shockingly) wouldn’t relinquish until the final buzzer.

Indeed, as far as taking care of business goes, I guess we can say they did just that. Charlotte shot just 41.9 percent from the field and 20.1 percent from downtown. Meanwhile, the Bulls shot 51.9 percent and scored 22 points off 14 Hornets TOVs.

It surely wasn’t pretty as Alex Caruso left the game with a foot sprain and both Patrick Williams and Nikola Vucevic looked banged up, but a win is a win, I guess.

Does this mean anything as the deadline looms? Eh, I hope not. This isn’t the kind of victory that should convince the front office that standing pat is still the right move. But I fear they’ll take any excuse to do just that.

Anyway, I’m out and about and didn’t get to take in all of the game tonight. With that being the case, no box score. We’ll touch base tomorrow. Goodnight!
