Both Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams were forced to leave Thursday night’s game with injuries. The two are now questionable for Saturday’s matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers, per the official injury report.
Caruso exited after clocking just 7 minutes of action with a right foot sprain. The severity of the injury is unknown, but a questionable designation should at least imply that the Bulls do not expect this to cause an extended absence.
Likewise, Williams said after the game that he felt “fine” despite suffering an ankle injury. He did leave for the locker room for a bit mid-game but was eventually able to rejoin the team on the bench. My gut tells me he has even more potential to appear in tomorrow’s game, but we’ll see.
The final new face to appear on the injury report was Nikola Vucevic. He hit the deck with less than a couple of minutes remaining and appeared to be in quite a bit of pain. However, he was able to walk it off and it’s said to be nothing more than a quad contusion. He is now “probable” for a matchup with Jusuf Nurkic.
