The story of Nike’s famous pursuit of a young Michael Jordan has been put on the big screen.
Ben Affleck directs and stars in the new movie “Air,” which follows Nike’s co-founder Phil Night in his pursuit to build the Jordan Brand in the 1980s. Affleck will play executive Sonny Vaccaro, while Matt Damon will co-star as Night.
Other noteworthy names involved in the project include Jason Bateman (Rob Strasser), Chris Messina (Jordan’s agent David Falk), Marlon Waynes (George Raveling), and Chris Tucker (Howard White), per Variety. Jordan will not be depicted in the actual film, but Viola Davis will carry a big role as his mother, Deloris Jordan.
I don’t know about you, but I’m totally in on this. Plenty of great actors and one amazing story. I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
