LOL: DeMar DeRozan Made Quite the Face During His All-Star Game Introduction
DeMar DeRozan had a viral moment before the All-Star Game even tipped off.
The Chicago Bulls’ leading score was standing on the stage for the player introductions when the PA announcer finally got to him: “A six-time All-Star from the Chicago Bulls, who is an undisputed master of the midrange, DeMar DeRozan!”
All things considered, that felt like a pretty fair introduction for long-time Jazz announcer Dan Roberts, but DeRozan’s face said otherwise:
Watch the moment below:
The confused look on DeRozan’s face was quickly replaced with a smile and wave, and he described why after the game (h/t Will Gottlieb).
“I couldn’t hear what they said,” DeRozan said smiling. “I couldn’t hear what they said! I heard something lengthy that wasn’t my name, so I wasn’t sure what they said.”
That makes a lot of sense. I thought he may have been trying to play it humble when he heard himself given the “mastery of the midrange” title, but I think even he knows that is a suitable introduction!
Anyway, I’m sure I’ll get plenty of use out of that image as the Bulls look to climb themselves out of this current hole. Thanks, DeMar!
