Patrick Beverley Started Smack Talking the Houston Crowd, and the Bulls Loved It
Patrick Beverley returned to the city where he spent five seasons on Saturday night, and he made sure to re-introduce himself.
The point guard had easily his best performance since joining the Bulls, draining four 3s on his way to 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. One of those threes capped off a clutch 13-0 run for the Bulls in the 4th quarter to help secure the comeback victory. And that’s when Beverley decided to revisit with his old friends.
Beverley stared down practically every single soul in the crowd and appeared to have some choice words for a few. His teammates – who ran out to mid-court to celebrate his big shot – couldn’t get enough.

While this feels a bit much against the worst team in the Western Conference, I guess that’s why you got to respect Patrick Beverley. No matter who the opponent is or what the stakes are (in this case, the 10 seed), he’s always going to play his heart out and be himself.
