Rudy Gobert is seven-foot-one. Patrick Beverley is six-foot-two.
The Chicago Bulls’ point guard drove baseline to the rim in the first quarter of Friday’s game. After bullying Mike Conley off of him, Beverley rose to the rim with Gobert right behind him. The three-time DPOY reached for the block, but Beverley got it off right in time to tie the game 20-20.
As Beverley turned to run back up the court, he didn’t hesitate to hit Gobert with the “too small” celebration.
Take a look for yourself:
I guess this has quickly turned into one of Beverley’s favorite celebrations over the past couple of years. While this is his first time doing it in a Bulls’ uniform, we saw him flash the “too small” motion after scoring on Phoenix’s Chris Paul earlier this season. He also did it in the playoffs last season against Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant.
Is it ridiculous? Absolutely! Do I still love it? Yup!
But I will love it a little less if the Bulls lose this game.
