The Chicago Bulls Just Beat Joel Embiid for the First Time Ever

Chicago Bulls

12-AND-1!!

Well sure, Joel Embiid fouled out in double overtime. But despite his best effort (and it was a REALLY GOOD effort), the Bulls have FINALLY gotten the best of the 76ers’ big man. Literally, for the first time ever. Embiid went off in this one, to the tune of 37 points and 16 rebounds, but the Bulls wore down Philly and came away with a HUGE road win.

Coming into this one, Embiid had been averaging 29.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game against the Bulls. Tonight, he topped even those dominant numbers.

Philly will get their shot at revenge in Chicago on Wednesday. But for now, this is an absolutely massive win for the Bulls to begin a very important week. Usually, it’s the Bulls that let wins slip away late, but tonight, they stole one on the road against a really good basketball team and an MVP-type performance from Embiid.
