LeBron James might be just hours away from making his return.
One day after the Lakers upgraded James to doubtful for the first time since he initially went out with his foot injury, James has been upgraded again. The superstar is now “questionable” for today’s battle and will reportedly test his foot during pre-game, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Even if James isn’t able to make a full return later today, this certainly makes it feel as if the Bulls can expect to see him for at least Wednesday’s second meeting with the Lakers. And, considering the Bulls are in the thick of a tight Play-In Tournament race, that’s surely notable.

Less than 24 hours before the Chicago Bulls take on the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James has been upgraded to “doubtful.”
While this designation likely means that James is still sidelined for tomorrow’s matchup, this is still our first sign that a return is on the horizon. James has been out with a right foot injury since Feb. 28 and has missed the Lakers’ last 13 games. Los Angeles has gone 8-5 during that stretch.
The big thing to watch now is how quickly James’ status moves up the ladder. Again, the expectation shouldn’t be to see him tomorrow, but might he return by Wednesday’s second battle with the Bulls at the United Center? It’ll certainly be something to keep an eye on as the Bulls try to string together some more wins and solidify a sport in the East’s Play-In Tournament
