What to Watch For

  • Last night was just a brutal loss. The Bulls came out flat, and then any time it seemed like the Bulls tried to make a comeback Atlanta would find a dagger three to hit. It feels like a missed opportunity overall to catch the Hawks and get into that all-important 8-seed. That said, the Bulls did clinch their spot in the Play-In tournament so there’s that.
  • What really doomed the Bulls outside of the slow start last night was the three-point shooting, or the inability to do that rather. The Bulls shot a putrid 7-31 from beyond the arc good for just 22.6%. Only two Bulls made multiple three-pointers in the loss (Beverley and Williams). LaVine was very efficient again going 11-21 from the field, but he too couldn’t hit from deep going just 1-7 from three. Need a better performance from deep tonight.
  • Tonight should be interesting. The Bulls have played really well against the Bucks this year and have won their only game up in Milwaukee. The Bucks, though, have been the best team in the NBA since the All-Star break and offensively are firing from all angles. Grayson Allen and Pat Connaughton are both listed as out, while Giannis is probable so it seems we’ve got an idea of who will play for the Bucks tonight. Milwaukee owns a 3-game lead on the Celtics with just 3 games left to play, so they’ve all but locked up that spot. It seems like they’ll go all in to try and clinch the #1 seed tonight.
