Chicago Bulls Merch Sales Stay Strong, Jersey Sales … Not So Much

Chicago Bulls

One seed or 10 seed, the Chicago Bulls’ brand remains undeniably strong.

The NBA announced its top-selling team merchandise for the second half of the 2022-23 regular season. The Bulls finished with the 6th-highest sale numbers behind only the Lakers, Warriors, Celtics, Suns, and Bucks. They dropped one spot after finishing the first half of the season in 5th.

All things considered, it’s pretty darn impressive that the Bulls sit among this company. Each of the five teams in front of them has a superstar-caliber player to show for and each finished at least top-7 in their respective conference. I guess it just goes to show how important Chicago basketball continues to be to the NBA.

Having said that, the franchise is still looking for a true face. The team, once again, failed to have a representative crack the top-15 in jersey sales. Here’s the list via the NBA’s social account:

1. LeBron James
2. Stephen Curry
3. Jayson Tatum
4. Giannis Antetokounmpo
5. Luka Doncic
6. Kevin Durant
7. Devin Booker
8. Ja Morant
9. Damian Lillard
10. Kyrie Irving
11. LaMelo Ball
12. Nikola Jokic
13. Joel Embiid
14. Jaylen Brown
15. Jordan Poole

Seeing youngsters like LaMelo Ball and Jordan Poole crack the list before multi-time All-Stars like Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan is admittedly rough. But, hey, there is always next year (especially when they miraculously win the lottery and draft Victor Wembanyama!).
