REPORT: DeRozan’s Daughter Had to be Escorted Out of the Raptors’ Arena Due to Online Threats

Chicago Bulls

What the actual f**k.

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Diar DeRozan had to be escorted out of the Toronto Raptors’ arena on Wednesday after “severe” online threats were made toward her. She is nine years old.

DeRozan’s daughter went viral during the Bulls’ 109-105 victory after screaming each time the Raptors took the free-throw line. Toronto went on to have one of their worst displays from the charity stripe in franchise history, missing 18 attempts and shooting just 50 percent on the night.

The Raptors led by as much as 19 points, but their poor free throw shooting combined with Zach LaVine’s massive performance ultimately led to a Bulls victory. Diar is not in the building for tonight’s second game in Miami.

I’m just absolutely disgusted by this news. We’re talking about nothing more than a basketball game here. A young girl was having some fun supporting her father. The fact that certain opposing fans reportedly felt the need to threaten her well-being is extremely disheartening.
