If you’re already missing Chicago Bulls basketball, I have a video for you!
The team went ahead and hand-picked their top 10 plays of the season. And re-watching these epic moments is undoubtedly a good palate cleanser for what was otherwise an extremely disappointing year.
Check it out here:
All things considered, there weren’t any omissions that immediately popped into my head. But I do think almost every single Ayo Dosunmu plays belongs higher on the list.
While he struggled to take a significant step forward in his sophomore season, he dominated the top 10 charts. His chase-down block on Kevin Durant finished 8th on the list, while his strong finish over Giannis Antetokounmpo to tie the game ranked 6th. If we’re being honest, though, I think each of those could have easily been top-5. I would have moved down Coby White’s two late-game buckets (which was kind of cheating at No. 5) and perhaps Vucevic’s poster dunk (it was awesome, but it was also over a guard).
As for Dosunmu’s buzzer-beater against the Atlanta Hawks, I’m shocked it didn’t find its way to the No. 1 spot. DeMar DeRozan’s clutch and-one jumper of the Knicks with 0.4 seconds left stole the spot. As awesome as that shot was, it felt like nothing new for one of the best crunch-time players in the game. Meanwhile, the Dosunmu buzzer-beater was unexpectedly awesome, particularly when we factor in just how far he had to run to get that shot off.
Anyway, can you think of any buckets that failed to make the cut? If so, let me know! I’ll take any fond memories of this season that I can get.
