During Friday night’s blowout Lakers victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, one youngster found himself under the spotlight.
The Lakers called down a fan, Cooper, to compete in their halftime “Half-Minute to Win It” challenge. The task was simple: Score 10 points in 30 seconds. From the looks of it, a free throw was worth 3 points, while a one made 3-pointer would have been worth the full 10. So how did Cooper decide to handle things?
Right before the clock started to tick, the teenager could be heard on the mic saying he was “born ready.” He proceeded to place the ball on the court … and pump up the crowd for 27 straight seconds. Finally, with the clock winding down, Cooper chucked up a shot.
He missed it.
Take a look at the hilarious moment.
Either this kid is a comedic legend and knew exactly what he was doing or … well … he learned a valuable lesson.
Thanks for the laugh, Cooper!
