Summer League isn’t the only thing taking over Las Vegas this July.
On Thursday, the league announced its first-ever NBA Con, which will take place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas from July 7-9. According to the press release, the convention will feature multiple big-name guests, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Trae Young, Victor Wembanyama, and Scoot Henderson.
The three-day event will include a handful of activities that range from live concerts, interactive brand experiences, meet-and-greet sessions with players, live podcasts and show recordings, and a special area to step onto the court and compete. Mandalay Bay will offer 400,000 square feet of space to get closer to the NBA action. You can read more about everything here.
I’ve never been somebody to get all that jazzed about conventions, but this does sound pretty darn remarkable. My plan is already to attend Summer League for the first time this season, so perhaps I’ll rearrange my schedule a bit to check this out and let you guys know how it goes. The league said there are more guests to be announced too, so let’s hope some Bulls stop by to say hi!
Anyway, if you are also in the area or planning to head there for the festivities, tickets are already available here.
