If you enjoyed the Bulls pregame and postgame coverage for the past few seasons at NBC Sports Chicago, I have some good news for you!
Via press release, the new home for Bulls basketball, Chicago Sports Network, announced their studio crew for pregame and postgame coverage this season. Jason Goff and Kendall Gill will both be back breaking down the action from the United Center studio, and K.C. Johnson will also be making the jump from NBC Sports Chicago.
Bulls Studio Crew Revealed
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Will Perdue would not be making the move to the new network, which honestly was a bit of a bummer for me. I thought Jason, Kendall, and Will had some fantastic chemistry and they brought different perspectives to the table. That trio did a great job of making what was a very disappointing season entertaining from a pregame and postgame show standpoint.
So while I’ll miss Will Perdue on the show, I’m very glad to see Jason Goff and Kendall Gill make the move. I do think the show will miss Perdue’s blunt honesty at times, but between Goff and Gill, I think Bulls coverage will be in about as good of hands as we could have hoped for next season. Also, there will certainly be times over the course of an 82-game season when Kendall Gill has to miss a show or two, so I wouldn’t be totally stunned to see Perdue fill in from time to time.
Not to mention, K.C. Johnson making the move isn’t all that surprising but it’s also nice to see made official. Johnson jumped from the Chicago Tribune to NBC Sports Chicago in 2019 to cover the Bulls and has been on the beat for nearly 30 years. So while his making the jump was fairly predictable, it’s still nice to see made official.
