Bulls fans might want to make the trip to Hoffman Estates a few times this season.
The franchise’s G-League affiliate announced its official promotional schedule on Friday, and I think it’s sneaky good. The organization will tip things off on opening night with a Blues Brother-inspired bobblehead. Benny the Bull and Gus T. – the Windy City mascot – stand back-to-back in the iconic black suit, shades, and top hat. It’s perfectly ridiculous.
Up next will come another Benny and Gus T. bobblehead that features the two throwing snowballs in honor of Winter Wonderland night on Dec. 7. Jump ahead to the new year, and things get even better. On January 3, 2025, fans can receive a Matas Buzelis practice uniform display before grabbing a Windy City Bulls Tune Squad jersey one day later on Space Jam Night.
The two must-have items, however, are probably the bobbleheads of the Chicago Bulls’ current backcourt youngsters. Fans can receive a Coby White bobblehead that features a *game-worn jersey patch* on January 11. Later that month on January 18, they can pair this with an Ayo Dosunmu bobblehead that shows him sporting half a white Bulls jersey and half an orange Illini jersey. The Illinois alum in me wants that on my office shelf ASAP.
I’m not as obsessive as some people when it comes to these things, but this is one of the better promo schedules I’ve seen. Even the United Center doesn’t hand out this good of stuff.
Anyway, I left out a few hats and other bobbleheads, but I’ll drop the full promotional schedule below so you can take a look. Especially if you have kids, I feel like these could be some good dates to circle on the calendar (I don’t have kids … and I’m still circling).
