The Chicago Bulls are getting a new version of Josh Giddey.
After a tough season in OKC ended with a benching in the postseason, the jumbo guard looks rejuvenated during his first five games with the Bulls. His 3-point shooting, in particular, has done a complete 180 to begin the year. Giddey has shown zero hesitation to toss it up from long range, and he’s been rewarded with a 10-17 start to begin the year.
His 3-point shooting improvement was on full display during the Bulls’ battle with the Magic on Wednesday night. After the team fell down by as much as 20 points, the Bulls came roaring back for the second-straight game. Giddey was a major part of that in the third quarter, knocking down three 3s.
The first came on a loose ball that found him in the corner:

The second came with a chance to give the Bulls’ their first lead of the game …

The reaction from Giddey and his teammates says it all. Many have doubted him and this young core coming into the year, but they’re proving a lot of people wrong through the first five games. Will that continue to be reflected in the win-loss column? It may not really matter for the Bulls. This season is all about player development, and Josh Giddey is showing just that.
