The Chicago Bulls’ upcoming schedule will look a little bit different.
After the wildfires in California led the NBA to postpone multiple games in Los Angeles last week โ and inclement weather in Atlanta led to another postponement โ the league has made some adjustments to the schedule. A total of nine games were impacted, including the Bulls’ battle with the Clippers next week.
According to the NBA, the Bulls will now play the Clippers at 9:30 p.m. CT on Monday, January 20. The game was originally scheduled for January 21 at the same time.
You can view the remaining schedule changes here. The league will announce another schedule change for the postponed Lakers-Spurs game at a later date.
Chicago Bulls Schedule Change
Considering the ongoing tragedy in Los Angeles, I’m sure all teams will be more than accepting of the last-minute changes. With that said, this adjustment does make life slightly harder for Billy Donovan and Company. The Bulls are also set to play in Portland on Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. CT, meaning they will now have an additional back-to-back added to their calendar.
The team’s current schedule is already pretty congested. They will play the backend of a back-to-back this evening before two more games on Friday and Sunday. Add in Monday night’s game with Los Angeles, and they’re not set for five games in seven days.
The good news is they will now at least have two full days off before they head to The Bay for a meeting with the Warriors on January 23. Then, they will return home for a weekend matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers.
