The Cubs Convention is Super

It’s almost here! Squeals of excitement!

The Cubs Convention is this weekend, and although I’ve never been, I imagine it to be like the scene in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory where they enter that first room and everything is edible, and everyone starts eating everything in sight. You know, except that “everyone” is just Jim Hendry, and everything is only “edible” in the sense that you can put it in your mouth and chew.

Oh, yeah, the Convention:

Among the current Cubs slated to take part in the three-day event are [Alfonso Soriano, Geovany Soto, Ryan Dempster and newly acquired Milton Bradley, as well as] Neal Cotts, Mike Fontenot, Rich Harden, Reed Johnson, Carlos Marmol, Sean Marshall, Jeff Samardzija, Ryan Theriot and Carlos Zambrano. Cubs.com.

You can also see Cubs greats Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Fergie Jenkins and Ryne Sandberg. Not to mention Tim Stoddard.

Complete schedule and appearances after the jump.

Thanks to the Chicago Tribune, here’s the full schedule and appearances for the Cubs Convention:
